1. Use Hyperlinks in an effective way

One of the most basic factors that determine your website rank on SERP is the way Hyperlinks are used. Google looks at links both from and to your website. You should use hyperlinks in keywords to emphasize on it. For E.g. Instead of using Click Here to know more about Search Engine Optimization, You should say read more about Search Engine Optimization.

2. Density of your Keyword Usage

The density of the Keyword usage is important as it shows relevance to the keyword. It helps when the keyword occurs many times on the page NATURALLY. Natural Phrasing is very important as Google detects spamming and if it does so for your page, then it can ban your website completely. So use natural phrasing and do not use the keyword over and over again.

3. Page Speed

Everyone hates waiting for a page to load, so page speed becomes a major determinant of traffic on your website, as well as your page rank on the SERP. Google actively monitors the page speeds of all websites and it may use this to upgrade or downgrade your rank on the search results page.

4. Unique Meta Data

This is the data that in not visible to the user but is read by the search engine instead. The two most important aspects of these are the keywords used in the description of the page and the keywords related to the page. You should use 20-30 Meta tags in the description Meta tag and 5-8 keywords in the relevant keyword in the Keywords Meta tag.

5. Short is Sweet

This simply means that compress the files and data on your website. You can compress the images without any visual impact. And also remove unwanted data from your website. If your website is compressed, it will load faster and naturally rank higher.

6. Keep on Regularly Updating your Website

To get a better ranking, you need to keep on updating your website at regular intervals. You can keep on adding News, Articles, Blogs, etc. This will keep your users interested as well show the search engine that you are passionate about your website and are actively updating it. And more relevant content also makes your website SEO friendly. This increases your chances of ranking higher.

7. Give relevant page titles

This is one the most overlooked yet most important factors in determining your page rank. Google often displays search results based on the title of the page, hence, if your page has the default title “Untitled” then it might get lost in the SERP.
