Google has come up with a brand new feature for its users. Now when users search for restaurants on Google, they will see a “Place an order” option along with the details of the restaurant. It will be available on the Mobile Phone as well. This service was launched on Friday in The U.S and will be launched in other countries soon.
They have currently teamed up with six delivery companies so far. “Initially, you’ll be able to order via six providers in the US — Seamless, Grubhub, Eat24, Delivery.com, BeyondMenu and MyPizza.com — but we’ll be looking to add more in the future,” Google said in post on its Google+ social network page. More delivery providers will be added in the future as Google aims at expanding its offerings.
A recent post by Google regarding the move, read,
"Whether you're craving deep dish pizza or pad Thai, starting today you can order food from some of your favourite restaurants directly from Google search results."
This move will make food ordering much easier. It will also save a lot of time as you don't have to go to the restaurants website and look at the menu and then order. Google has also rolled out the feature to book appointments and reservations from the Search Engine Result Page. This is Google's way of ensuring that instead of trying different apps for food delivery, users can simply rely on Google Search.
